OatlyUK Give Bloggers A Milk Alternative at #FBC14!

The Original Oatly (@oatlyukcomes to FBC14 to ‘Give Bloggers A Break’ with a nutritious alternative to milk and connect with the international community of bloggers!

Range shot (2)Oatly is like milk, but made for humans. The idea behind our products was to find a way to make a nutritious alternative to milk without going through the body of a cow. A couple of decades ago, we looked at the nutritional power of oats and thought: what if we forgot the cow altogether and turned these oats into a drink that was designed for humans? So we did. Everything we make is based on plants and has absolutely nothing to do with the animal kingdom whatsoever. And no GMOs.

At Oatly, we think it is important that we get a bit more balance and be a bit kinder to our bodies and the planet. Our goal is to create products that provide maximum nutritional value and minimal environmental impact.

We produce a line-up of balanced nutritional products that can help people upgrade their lives and through our actions hope to make the food industry a more honest place by declaring to be transparent in everything we do.

Our range of drinks combine the best of Swedish lifestyle with the great taste and benefits of oats. Rewarding to drink; super easy to cook with, and amazingly fibrelicious.

How did you hear about FBC?

We’ve been watching with interest for a couple of years, but now we have some news that we wanted to share and we thought it was time to get involved. We’re going to be serving up our delicious oat drinks, as well as a couple of tasty Oatly recipes, so do come say hi and tell us what you think.

FBC registered attendees from around the world will be going home knowing more about your product and its flavour!

How can other non registered bloggers get their hands on your product?

For anyone who can’t come and see us at Food Blogger Connect, you can tweet us (@oatlyuk) or email us at oatly@mischiefpr.com. We’ll happily talk about oats until the cows go home. We can talk about other things too – but we sure do know our oats.

And if you can’t wait and want to get your hands on some of our products, head to Waitrose, larger Tesco and Sainsbury’s stores, or Holland and Barrett. If you’d like to see our full range, not all of which is available in the UK yet (but we’re working on it), check out www.oatly.com

Are you a fan of food, travel, lifestyle blogs?

We love them! We like finding out about cool new stuff. We like to think we’ve got lots of cool, new stuff of our own happening this year, so do come and talk to us if you’d like to get involved.

If you could tell people to eat one thing more often what would it be and why?

oatly_facebook_14-03-23_0321Oats, naturally. And natural oats. Our oats contain no artificial badness – they come from the Swedish countryside, where the water is pure and the sunshine is plentiful. The liquid oats in Oatly contain betaglucans that are beautiful for your heart and honorable for your body, which if you think about it, is pretty incredible.

Place 100g oats, 50g cranberries and sultanas, 25g pumpkin seeds and 25g flaked almonds in a roasting tin and mix in 2tbsp honey. Spread out on a baking tray and bake for 15 minutes until golden at 150C, gas mark 1. Allow to cool and place in a bowl. Then mix 200ml Oatly into the muesli, cover and leave in the fridge overnight. Mix in 2 grated apples and serve with extra Oatly.
