Lidgates Is Coming to #FBC5 And You’re Invited (Ticket Giveaway)

Lidgates (@lidgates) has been bringing the tastiest beef, pork, lamb and chicken from free range and organic farms for 160 years, including foodie favourite wagyu (kobe) beef.

We managed to pin Danny Lidgates down for a quick interview where he told us his favourite new ‘trend’ on the British street food scene at the moment is the invention of new meat products using cheaper forgotten cuts , and an interest of food traceability + the never ending search for fantastic foods. Lidgates thinks food bloggers give fantastically true opinions and knowledge of a wide range of food and ethics, and help spread the passion of food to all those who eat good food. They are coming to FBC5 to meet the bloggers and we couldn’t be more excited!

With a range of homemade sausages and made-to-order pies, they certainly know their meat – and will be teaching us all about it at #FBC5 in a live lamb butchery demonstration

Not only that – but Lidgates is supporting #FBC5 in Penny De Los Santo’s Photography workshopwith their finest cuts of meat for food bloggers to photograph. If that wasn’t enough, Lidgates will also be supplying Saturday’s #FBC5 StrEAT Party during founder, Bethany Kehdy’s “The Jewelled Kitchen” cookbook launchwhere she will be stuffing folks with a market of Middle Eastern tasters!Adding to their generosity, Lidgates is sending one truly lucky person to Food Blogger Connect !All you have to do is follow Lidgates on Twitter @lidgates, check out their award winning website and tweet about your favourite cutof free range and organic meat from Britain!

I love melty slow cooked brisket.
When someone has their birthday in our family they get to pick the cut of meat for Sunday lunch. Brisket is always my choice.

My mum would make Beef Roulanden every week (she’s German) when were children, she would use topside of beef, a cheaper cut but the result would be delicious and tender.

I’m a massive fan of Lidgates having lived just around the corner in Clarendon Road. I grew up eating fabulous meat and we always stocked up when we visited friends, bringing foodie gifts of sausages and pies. My favourite cut would be a fabulous rib of beef, a substantial piece of meat generous in flavour and a show stopper on the table. GG
