FBC Couch Surfing

Community has always been the driving force behind FBC, taking place the 5th, 6th, and 7th of July in London, with people coming together from all over the world. While, over the years, it has been amazing to see familiar faces and old friends, it’s also wonderful to welcome new bloggers to the party – people we might know from behind a computer screen but have never met in person or those fresh to the blogosphere, just starting their journey.
In the past, one of the nicest and most intimate ways we have of connecting has been our couch surfing scheme. I mean, there’s no point beating around the (Shepherd’s) bush – London isn’t exactly the cheapest place to find accommodation. As such, each year many attendees based in the buzzing metropolis we call home have opened their hearts and their pull-out sofas to those making the journey from far and wide.

While it may seem intimidating to welcome a ‘stranger’ into your house or vice versa, by and large, food bloggers are a pretty friendly bunch – so, if you have the space or you’re looking for a place to lay your lonely head, then get in touch by commenting below to connect with one another!
It’s a great way to meet like-minded people, enjoy a few glasses of the good stuff during some post-conference downtime and, if you’re lucky, you might even get to experience some of that delicious food you’ve been salivating over online!
And, if you don’t believe us, read Sarka’s story – it’s enough to warm the cockle of our hearts on a cold March evening!

Hi, I’m a London blogger based in Streatham (south London) and I’d be happy to offer up my couch or my air mattress to an interested blogger!

I am an American woman looking for a couch during FBC5 (I’m a speaker), and again the following weekend. Non-smoker, cat lover, dogs OK. Thanks, I am SO looking forward to this!

As a food blogger and Couchsurfer who writes the blog http://www.CouchSurfingCook.com, I can absolutely attest to the awesomeness of both hosting and staying with CSers. The experience of sharing an abode, trading recipes, eating, and cooking with travelers has enriched my life in Brooklyn, NYC and my recent travels through Asia enormously!

I live in Hertfordshire and could go home each night but it will mean a lot of travelling. I would love to accept an invitation to stay on someone in London’s couch. I write http://www.HeidiRobertsKitchenTalk.blogspot.com

I can vouch for the hospitality of food bloggers – I’ve been given a warm welcome (and an airbed) for my past two FBCs – initially a stranger with a passion for food – now a friend.

I’m coming up from Cornwall and could do with a place to call home for a couple of nights.

I’m pretty well house trained for a country bumpkin 🙂

Hello! I’m an American woman looking to surf…a couch, that is! Not yet sure of my travel plans, but this is a conference that I would love to attend. I blog about one of my first loves: food. My blog is located at http://vabonvivant.com/
