Founded by Bethany Kehdy, blogger at DirtyKitchenSecrets.com, FBC has gone from strength to strength over the past 6 years, growing from an afternoon gathering in a restaurant into the world’s leading international food blogging conference, attracting world renowned food, travel, lifestyle bloggers, personalities and brands. FBC has gained an enviable reputation as one of the world’s most inspiring blogger events and engulfs the chance to meet up with friends, old and new, from every corner of the globe to learn skills and satiate those raging appetites, while connecting and networking outside of the more studious confines of the grand conference classroom hall.
THE “CONTENT” IN FBC
If the weekend sounds as if it is just about eating, drinking and socialising, well, that’s only partially true. It is also about learning, honing new skills and furthering the careers of those passionate about all things food and lifestyle. We all know blogging and writing are way more than just hobbies to us. They are our passions, our outlets, our special moments and even our jobs – of course sometimes it’s no picnic and they require sacrifices and commitment.
FBC has attracted some of the biggest names in the industry, be it editors, journalists, agents, publishers, all looking to come together, network, mingle and, of course, connect. It’s not just about meeting new people though, it’s about learning and developing your skills. With the likes of our past speakers including Yotam Ottolenghi, David Lebovitz, Jaden Hair, Dianne Jacob, Donal Skehan, Niamh Shields of Eat Like a Girl and the bloggers who have worked their way to the microphone with hard work and knowledge, FBC is a unique opportunity for bloggers to come together and get tips from the best in the business. Discover all about the speakers and format in our speakers section here.
THE “CONNECT” IN FBC
Of course, not content with just focusing on the learning, our aim is to deliver a platform to connect, network and showcase with an exciting mix of fabulous food and drink at the FBC strEAT Party with a festival of flavours to bite into, with some of London’s most innovative and exciting feeders joining in mass and includes over 12 hours dedicated to networking, feasting and boozing. FBC adds giggles to the party with our fun loving foodies in theKRACKINkitchen highlighting out of the box talents and highlights a very special bookSTORE where you can meet the authors and even, inspire your palette with some of their recipes alongside networking with industry leaders.
One of the things that’s been stressed over the years at FBC is that there’s one priceless thing that helps us all to keep going – our peers, our fellow bloggers, their support: our community! Community is key to us and that’s what keeps us fueled.
Blogging doesn’t have to be a lonely place and the mélange of people at FBC permits us all to gain further understanding, skills and perspectives in fields that are still quite hazy to us. Whether your specialty is food, travel, lifestyle, health & fitness or technology; whether you’re a seasoned pro or an absolute beginner; FBC is for you! The FBC community is an active and influential one made up of food, travel, lifestyle, tech and fitness bloggers, food and travel writers, newspaper / magazine columnists, cookbook authors, celebrity chefs, online retailers, tech, app developers, and others who use the web as a platform to promote their food, travel, lifestyle message.
With so much on offer, FBC is a wonderful opportunity to take your blog to a new level, to network, to nurture your skills and to make lifelong friendships…and you certainly won’t be returning home hungry either!
