It seems hard to believe, but next year will represent the fifth anniversary of FBC taking place the 5th, 6th and 7th of July, 2013. We’ve grown year on year, from a small afternoon gathering in a London restaurant back in 2009 to #FBC12, a full, three day event with over 100 attendees from all over the world. It wasn’t just bloggers who made the pilgrimage either, but people from across the industry – from publishers and agents to television representatives. Now securely fastened as the leading international food blogging conference in the world, we’re going to celebrate #FBC5 in style, by bringing you the most inspiring weekend yet!
For next year, the #FBC5 Team is already busy putting together a truly incredible event – yes, we’re starting early – jam-packed with workshops, sessions, networking, wine tastings, cooking demonstrations and fun in London, the epicenter of the UK’s burgeoning food scene and now home to over 1,000 food bloggers. Whether you’re just starting out or you’re already an established blogger, looking to make a career in the food industry or just wanting to share your passion, #FBC5 will show you how to take things to the next step. Get ready for a deluge of information, with three days worth of sessions presented by an accomplished panel of world-renown, award winning journalists, food bloggers and experts within the food industry covering a wide array of the most important topics. As our mums used to say, we’ll be working our little cotton socks off for the next seven months, perfecting our programme to guide you along the way bringing you everything you’ve come to expect from FBC and more.
Perhaps most importantly though, FBC offers you the chance to actually meet and spend time with those who make up this great family of food bloggers, not behind the anonymity of Twitter, E-mail or Facebook, but in person, face to face.
And what better way to do that than while sampling some of the best food and drink London has to offer, as the FBC Market returns for its second year, showcasing the capital’s amazing street food scene. Of course, our fantastic range of top-notch speakers will be on hand to share their experience, insight and secrets into important food blogging issues, with interactive workshops and sessions, encouraging questions, exchanging of information and learning!
Moreover, we’re never content, continually striving to improve and taking in everyone’s suggestions about what each of you really wants to see from next year’s conference and how you feel you can benefit from FBC even more. After all, this is your conference – and we will do everything in our power to bring you the most rewarding experience that we can and to connect the food blogging community.
As such, and to celebrate our fifth anniversary with how far we’ve come, we’re offering bloggers the ‘early bird’ full weekend* special price of £149 if you sign up with a friend by November 25th – or, in effect, it’s buy one, get one free as the supermarkets might say…so register today to take advantage of this limited offer – we can’t wait to see you for another weekend full of food, friends and fun!
