Rock N Roll (@rollnrock_uk) are coming to the #FBC15 #strEATParty!
We specializes in rice paper roll. All of them are prepared and wrapped in freshness, daily. Using only the freshest ingredients we pride ourselves to be healthiest street food in London. We use minimal oil and seasoning in our cooking. Rolls are filled with crunchy salad, aromatic herbs, rice vermicelli noodles and selection of delicious minced pork, shrimp with mango and roasted duck.
How did you hear about FBC?
I came across FBC from other traders and food blogger friends. I hope to get the brand of Roll N Rock out to a wider community and encourage the culture of healthy eating.
What other events do you take part in throughout the year?
We’ve showcased at Regent St Summer Festival last year and participated in Emirates Go East Festival in Southbank this past June.
Why have you chosen this route and what do you love most about street food and trading?
I love the energy that I receive from trading in the market. It’s such a vibrant and lively place and you really get to chance to meet people from all walks of life.
What does your set-up mean to you?
I hope through the food that I produce, people will think differently of healthy food is not always something dull, bland and tasteless. We can still have exciting flavours in our food at the same time nutritious and healthy.
What advice would you give to anyone looking to join the street trader scene?
For me, it’s all about trial and error and learning from past experience. Talking and connecting with customers are really important. Encourage customers to provide feedback is crucial to the success of the business and also the support from the market organizer. For example, Mr. John Shepherd from Partridges Food Market has provided many food startups like Roll N Rock the advice and also the opportunity to get involved in this competitive industry.
If you could cook for anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
I wished I had the chance to cook for my father who had passed away. He has been the greatest source of inspiration in my life. Looking after him by his sick bed has taught me the importance of health. “You are what you eat”, healthy eating leads to healthy body.
Are you a fan of food, travel, lifestyle blogs?
I love Wilkes a lot and used to follow him very closely on his twitter but sadly he had left us too soon. I wished to work with bloggers who are not just into delicious, trendy food but also conscious with the nutritional values of the food and healthy diet.
If you could tell people to eat one thing more often what would it be and why?
Eat more roll! It’s healthy and delicious and fill you up when you are hungry!
