Niamh Shields (@eatlikeagirl) is a food blogger, cookery book author and food and travel writer. She writes the popular food blog eatlikeagirl.com, was awarded Food Blog of the Year in 2011 by the Observer Food Monthly, was listed as one of the Top 10 Food Blogs in the World by the times and is especially obsessed with pork and bacon 🙂
She also writes for a number of publications about food and also travel. With travel, the central theme is always food. From extracting the recipe for Bajan pepper sauce and attempting BBQ pig tail at home (it really is very good), Niamh believes the secret to understanding a culture is to first understand how they eat, and then, join in with them.
Niamh Shields is speaking at #FBC5 about her “Cross Canadian Journey” with tastings from Canadian Travel Commission along with What Does Successful Blogging Mean, Anyway? and Creating Content That Travels
Cross Canadian Journey
Nibble with Niamh as she takes you on her Cross Canadian Journey exploring the curious route of the Waterford blaa, available only in her home county of Waterford, but also in Newfoundland in Canada, fiddlehead picking in New Brunswick, a taste of French Canadian food in Montreal and launching the North American version of her cookbook, Comfort & Spice there, the wines from British Columbia and discovering the culinary ethos of Vancouver Island.
