New Zealand native Emma never meant to end up in London – but 5 years after taking a gap year, she’s still here exploring the city and all the food it has to offer! Emma is attending FBC for the first time this weekend, and blogs at Adventures of a London Kiwi and tweets @londonkiwiemma.
The great classes & getting to meet other bloggers.
What motivated you to blog about food and how has food blogging changed your life?
It’s just a passion for good tasting, and where possible locally sourced food. Food blogging is a push that means that we are enjoying London to it’s full potential instead of just travelling in and out of it to work.
What are your future aspirations for the blog? From where do you get inspiration and who taught you to cook?
I would just like to further develop the blog, and keep on having adventures in London – exploring a healthier side of Foodie-ism (most of the time).
I’m inspired by all of the other great bloggers. My Mum taught me to cook all the basics, but from there I’ve just made it up as I go along, hoping for the best!
Which other food bloggers do you follow most closely? Tell us something you learned from reading blogs you probably wouldn’t know otherwise?
I follow a real scattering, though I love Eggton, Michelle at Utterly Scrummy and the Londoner.
What’s your favourite/least favourite food? What’s been your ultimate meal to date? And What would your last meal be?
Favorite? That’s a hard call to be honest – if pushed it would have to be seafood, pizza or Roast Lamb. My most disliked is Liquorce/Aniseed flavoured items and Almond, though I’m beginning to develop a taste for it. My rather fussy husband complains that there isn’t anything I don’t like.
My last meal would be a fresh New Zealand scallops (battered), roast lamb with all the trimmings and a ginger chocolate brownie.
