Jo Waltham

Jo Waltham (@magentaskyuk) is the techy lady behind www.magentaskysolutions.co.uk. She provides cost effective tech support to bloggers and micro businesses who need a hand with WordPress, email or hosting. Jo is also the technical director at www.MicroBusinessHub.co.uk, a new online magazine to help micro business owners attract and keep customers.

Jo spent many years as “the person to go to” for tech support within an information management company.  She left to start her own business in 2009. After two years running an online baby shop, and setting up an online directory of UK Baby Shows, Jo sold both businesses and set up Magenta Sky Solutions to concentrate on her love of solving techy issues.

Since then, Jo has helped many food bloggers with their tech issues. She’s built them new WordPress websites, transferred data to self hosted WordPress, and solved innumerable email and hosting issues.

In Jo’s Graduate to Self Hosting session at FBC12, you’ll discover the advantages of self-hosting and the steps you need to make it happen. In this fun, informative session Jo will explain how to find a good web host, how to install WordPress, how to select a theme, which are the best plugins, how to migrate your data from WordPress.com, and how to transfer readers and subscribers.

Appreciating the time and energy you put into your blog and
in depth information you provide. It’s good to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same
    outdated rehashed information. Fantastic read!
I’ve saved your site and I’m including your RSS feeds to my Google account.
