Christine is looking forward to starting a blog – she is excited about travelling from Milan to attend #FBC5 and launching her new blog StudioCDPhoto. We were excited to hear more from this rookie blogger!
As this is my first time attending, I am looking forward to learning more about the Food Blogging World and to connect with the people within. As I am preparing for my blog to go-live in a few weeks, I want to also see what I can learn to help shape my future blog.
What motivated you to blog about food and how has food blogging changed your life?
After over 10 years of living in New York City working at an investment bank, I recently quit the job, married an Italian and moved to Milan, Italy, all while speaking no Italian. This was the chance to finally start a new life in every way and create to combine my two passions of food and photography. So I am completely new to the world of blogging and food and am so excited to get involved.
Do you blog full time or, if not, what’s your day job? What does your partner think of your blog?
I will be able to full-time blog when it’s ready. My new Italian husband honestly doesn’t understand what a blog is but is supportive in my photography and eating all the mistakes I cook in the kitchen! 😉
Favorite food…everything! Well, almost everything. Least favorite food is organs (tripe, brain, etc…) and frog legs! My last meal would probably be good southern cooking (BBQ or fried chicken) as I was born in Texas.
How many cookbooks do you own? Who is your favourite celebrity chef and and who is your favourite food writer? Why?
I am now beginning my cookbook collection (under 50 so far) and is now becoming an obsession! Amazon loves me 😉 I don’t have a favorite writer or chef but I love reading the cookbooks as inspiration to all different types of cuisines and styles both in cooking, personalities and photography.
