As an FBC first timer, I am full of excitement to get to know more about everything related to blogging and food specially since I am new to the world of food blogging, as well as the networking and the whole vibe! What first motivated you to blog and how has blogging changed your life? What’s your ultimate blogging dream – where do you plan to take it in the future? What are your future aspirations – both for the blog and for any related activity?
I love food, cooking it, reading about it, travelling to taste it even to the point that I shifted my career after graduating from college from a double majored gal to a foodie!! So, I just wanted to share my passion of food on the blog and grow with my own audience. I am hoping that it would lead to have my own cookbook, a restaurant and product line. ( Dream BIG!)Is blogging your full time job?
I am not a full time blogger, I just made a schedule of posting recipes and I am not sure if I want it to be my full-time job but I definitely love having it in my activities!
It is a very good thing since we are surrounded with lots of poison in “Fast Food” and we dwelled in it till it became a part of our daily routine. Also the whole idea of ‘eating healthy is boring’ will be hindered and proven wrong! How do you shop for food – supermarkets, farmer market, local shops, online etc?
I usually go for the farmer markets and the local shops. For me, it is the freshest you can get as well as you can touch and feel it and putting in mind that I keep supporting the locals!Do you follow trends religiously or are you most interested in setting new trends yourself, a bit of both, or do you ignore them all together?
I don’t follow a particular trend. I always love combining a bit of this and a bit of that since I love diversity, especially when it comes to food.
What’s the most unusual restaurant you have ever eaten at?
One unusual thing that I ate was when I was in Thailand. I ate deep fried crocodile, it had a weird texture (A good weird though)
What’s your signature dish?
It is so hard to pick my favorite recipe but this one is close to my heart; my walnut and date cake with salted toffee sauce
In my opinion I believe that the trio complete each other as the Eye eats first ( styling and photography) and a happy tummy makes a happy person ( the dish). Wordings when it is for the knowledge and sharing the whole experience is great it makes you feel like you are a part of it and belong to it in some way or another.
