FBC5 – the 5th anniversary celebrations for a taste of what’s to come 😉
#FBC5, the wonderful celebration of five years of hard work, fantastic food and lasting friendships, may seem as if it only just finished but, as summer slowly turns to autumn, it’s time for us to get planning again with three full days of #FBC14 taking place the 6th-8th of June in London.
Not content with resting on our laurels, as you might imagine seeing as FBC has gone from a handful of bloggers meeting up one afternoon in London to the world’s leading international food blogging conference, we’re getting back into the party spirit.
Yes, that’s right, the planning for #FBC14 London is under way once more, as we continually strive to bring you something even better than this year’s fun-filled bonanza. #FBC5’s theme was ‘the community feeds success’ and, yet again, that’s something that we’re holding dear.
After all, along with all the hard work behind the scenes from FBC’s loyal team and volunteers, the main reason we continue to grow is thanks to all the amazing bloggers and industry folk who have really made the conference what it is today.
What’s always special about FBC is seeing old faces year after year, conference alumni bringing a family feel to the weekend as old friends reunite over the love of food and their passion for what they do.
However, perhaps more importantly, that familiarity also allows first-timers to instantly feel at home, the relaxed atmosphere and bonhomie creating the perfect environment to fit right in and get the very most out of the conference.
You know, we may keep harping on about getting together to enjoy each other’s company and some of the UK’s most innovative food and a few drinks to boot, but FBC has a serious side too.
Last year’s speakers and the workshops were some of the best ever with people flown in from around the world to pass on their knowledge and experiences. Whether it’s a hobby, an obsession or a career, they’re on hand to give attendees tips and advice about how to achieve everything they want and more from blogging.
If you thought last year’s FBC was great, wait till you see #FBC14 because we’re here to outdo, expanding again with old topics revisited and new ones added, too! And, just like every year, the full programme, venue and travel details will be announced in the New Year. So, whether you’ve been before or you’re a newcomer on to the scene (and, if you are, then check out the video from #FBC5 as an appetiser for what to expect), we’re showing our gratitude for everything over the last six years by offering bloggers the ‘2-4-1 Full Weekend Early Bird Buddy Pass ‘* special price of £149 if you sign up with a friend by November 30th – or, in effect, it’s buy one, get one free as the supermarkets might say!
The event is open to hobby or accomplished bloggers looking to learn even more, people in the process of starting or thinking about starting one, industry folk or those who just love food and want to meet some like-minded people, #FBC14 promises to be a true celebration of the community! But, don’t just take our word for it.
If you are itching to take advantage of the ‘2-4-1 Full Weekend Early Bird Buddy Pass’ though find yourself looking for other bloggers to buddy up with, then post a comment below with information about you, your blog, and your contact information (including your twitter handle). You can then get in touch with one another – as we have many that are looking to buddy up on this special discount.
*Remember, payment for each registrant can be made together as one payment via Eventbrite/Paypal, directly via Paypal, or you can each send payment separately via direct deposit wire transfers. Hi, My blog is Glamorousglutton.com, I post recipes, some reviews and lots of recipes. I’ve been blogging for just over two years and I’ve been lucky enough to go to 2 FBC conferences. I’ve met great people and had a really good time. I missed the two for one last year but I’d really like to take advantage of it this year. GG
Hi I am Julia and I blog for Vikalinka. I would love to buddy up with someone and take advantage of the great offer, sadly it’s the only way I can afford to go. My twitter handle is Julia Frey@vikalinkafood.
Hi Amanda, so glad to see you got a buddy and registered for #FBC14! Looking forward to meeting you there 🙂
I’m a somewhat lapsed food and travel blogger and writer who was kinda on the scene a while ago but after going around the world for a couple of years I would love to connect again with the blogging community!
Hoping to find someone who would be interested in connecting for this offer!
Cheers
Ian

Hi I’m a Northern blogger, blogging at Foodfables http://www.foodfables.co.uk/ hoping to attend Food Blogger Connect for the first time. I’ve been blogging for about a year and concentrate on restaurant reviews and recipes, though I’ve also been involved with and run a few fun blogger challenges. I also write about the North food scene for a few publications – I’m very passionate about the great produce we have up North. Would love to find a buddy to take advantage of the offer – my twitter is @foodfablesuk
