I am looking forward to meeting other food bloggers and learning all I can about how to improve the profile of my blog!
Is blogging your full time job?
My blog is my part-time job. I also do a bit of project management and I look after my family the rest of the time. I love food (obviously), nature and running.
What first motivated you to blog?/span>
I was motivated to start my blog by my daughter. She has coeliac disease and has also had allergies to dairy and eggs. I wanted to document my recipes somewhere so that when she leaves home one day she will have somewhere to go to find recipes that she can eat. I soon realised how many other people were in the same position and grew the blog to help them too.
Which other bloggers do you follow most closely?
What’s your idea of food heaven?
Celebrity chefs who use their profile for the greater good or to make us all eat healthily – is that a good thing or an annoying publicity stunt?
Phil Vickery is a chef who promotes gluten-free food which is great! However, he has no reason to eat gluten-free or to create gluten-free food other than for money which annoys me ever so slightly! What he cooks is also often naturally gluten-free and often not very healthy!
Do you have a favourite kitchen tool or appliance?
I love my very basic food processor…it was the first ever gadget I bought about a year ago!! I would love love love a Vitamix or The Optimum.
To achieve a successful blog what comes first – the dishes, the styling, the photography or the words?
Photos probably create a successful blog… and that is where I am sadly lacking in talent!
