What motivated you to blog about food?
It’s the thing I think about most! I have written about many topics over the years but I think I found my voice when I started writing about food.
Do you blog full time? What’s your day job?
Just a compelling and wonderful hobby alas. Day job is as Network Marketing Manager for an alcohol retailer (yes sometimes I get to taste wine at work).
What’s been your ultimate meal to date?
I went to a truffle cooking demonstration with Georgio Locatelli. His ravioli with an egg yolk and his truffle risotto were incredible.
Where do you get inspiration from?
Reading and life. Sorry this is broad but it comes from so many sources. And being hungry – I’m inspired by what I want to eat most at a given occasion.
How has food blogging changed your life?
It’s helped in my professional life (demonstrates I know what I am talking about in the media mix) plus it’s helped me to develop existing skills in differnet ways plus learn new ones. It’s opened a door to a whole host of wonderful people both in the country I live and round the world.
Tell us something you learned from reading blogs you probably wouldn’t know otherwise? I honestly learn something new every day. I thought I was quite knowledgeable but I am much more international in my outlook about the terms of food and ingredients since the explosion of blogs and being involved in events.
