What are you looking forward to at FBC this year?
I met such great people last year. Some of them are now my very best friends. The workshop by Monica Bhide was very inspiring, as well as the photography ones.
Is blogging your full time job?
I started blogging and now I’m a full time professional photographer and food stylist.
How has your blog changed your life? From where do you get your inspiration?
Thanks to my blog, I’m lucky enough to do every day what I love the most as my job. I’d like to better know some kinds of food and how they affect our body and mind. I am inspired by other blogs, cookbooks and magazines.
What other bloggers do you follow most closely?
How do you shop for food – supermarkets, farmer’s markets, local shops, online, etc?
I shop everywhere food is! At FBC last year I met Antonella and Luisa and thanks to them I am now fascinated by the macrobiotics.
If you had to eat one country’s traditional dish for a year, what would it be?
Hawaiian shrimps!!! One country’s traditional dish for a year…pizza! No doubt about it!
What would be your last dish on earth?
Least meal on earth: seafood, please!
What is your idea of ‘food heaven’ and ‘food hell’?
Food heaven: sea urchin! Food hell: offal.
What is your signature dish?
My signature dish is still the spaghetti pasta with sea urchin (here), even if a few days ago I tried an oatmeal cake with mixed berries and it was more than delicious!
If you could cook with one person – celebrity, family, chef – who would it be?
I want to cook with Alex Turner! Cook, just cook.
How many cookbooks do you own?
Cookbooks … about 20 now. I just purchased the book from Green Kitchen, looking forward to their Lab!
Do you have a favourite kitchen appliance?
I think the KitchenAid is still my best friend when cooking.
What is on your wish-list right now?
Wish-list: Travelling around the world just to discover culture through traditional foods and traditions.
What other influences or interests would you say make for a great food blog?
Lifestyle, travel, fashion, and even architecture.
To achieve a successful blog what comes first – the dishes, the styling, the photography or the words?
Content, and good quality contents first! And yes, I guess photography and words are the most important things too.
