Today we are meeting the lovely Regula Ysewijn from Belgium. Regula is the food blogger behind Foodwise
I just wanted to bring all my experiences and finds together in one place to enjoy.
How has food blogging changed your life?
At first it was just the food and finding it, but then I started to talk to people who make or grow the food. It’s such an honour meeting people who put so much love into their product, being proud of the result and sharing it with us. It made my life fuller.
What’s the hottest item on your shopping list?
A woodfired oven in my garden!
What do you find most challenging about blogging
The search for a product and it’s creator.
What would your last meal be?
Home made bread with good Olive oil, perfectly al dente pasta vongole, Smoked pork belly with Bramley apple and orchard sauce. To drink, a somerset cider. For dessert I would like an English cheese platter with worcester apples and a glass of Stout. And finally I would have a Blackadder Whisky with a glass of water.
Where do you buy your groceries and why?
Meat: at a farm, because I want to see where and how the animals live and how they are treated.
Poultry: I don’t because I didn’t find a farm that sells directly to the public yet. So I don’t buy it.
Eggs: Free range/organic, I don’t like the idea of caged hens
Vegetables: at a farmshop, markets, independent producers
