What do you look for in an ideal ‘buddy’?
Someone who is open to learning about new cultures via food and has a good history to tell around the dining table.

Discussing what we find more difficult about blogging and seeing how the other copes so that we can learn from each other.

If you could cook one recipe from your own blog for your new ‘buddy’ what would it be?
Huevos rancheros. Everyone loves huevos rancheros.
What motivated you to blog about food?
They say writing is therapeutic and a few years ago I found out that so was cooking (well, for me at least) so after a series of unfortunate events I decided to start Can Be Bribed With Food. That and the fact that I was getting far too many emails/phone calls asking from friends and family asking for recipes 🙂
From where do you get inspiration?
A lot of my food is connected to memories of home, my family and my countries (Panama and Italy) so anything that reminds me of them is automatically also a source of inspiration for a post.
How has food blogging changed your life?
I have put on far too much weight!
Do you blog full time? What’s your day job?
Sadly I don’t have the opportunity to blog full time (yet) and so to pay the bills I work in online marketing. It really isn’t very glamourous.
What does your family/partner think of your blog?
They are very supportive of it and push me to give my best at all times. Although, I can’t say they read it all that much!
What’s your favourite part of the food blogging process? And the most negative?
I love the recipe development and writing side of things but when it comes to photographing my food I quiver in my boots – I find it nerve-wracking!
What do you find most challenging about blogging?
With a full time job sometimes finding the time to test and improve recipes, write, photograph and publish can be difficult. But, oh, how rewarding it is when you do and people comment positively!
Which other food bloggers do you follow most closely?
I love recipe blogs as they are a source of constant inspiration. I particularly like Joy the Baker, Homesick Texan, Jul’s Kitchen, Shutterbean, Smitten Kitchen and Bollo Preniao.
